2 Thessalonians 1: 11-12
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and by his power he may bring to fruition every desire of goodness and every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Just take a moment to let this scripture sink into your soul. We are called to pray for one another so that we may see the fullness of Christ pour out through our lives. We are have divine calling for our lives and we need to be praying and walking out those callings in faith. This is not a “should” for our lives but a need. Just as every breath we take is a need so is prayer. If you look a chapter back to 1 Thessalonians 5:17, it says “pray continually” or some versions say, “pray without ceasing”. To me, that means every waking moment I am in constant communication with my God. It’s a dialogue, not once in a while conversation. Jesus should be your closest friend as He is your Savior.
I don’t know about you, but I have my deepest conversation in prayer. God sees every part of me but still wants to have a relationship with me. Not because of me, but because of who He is. Relationships require time and conversations. They require trust, love, mercy, forgiveness …. And I could keep on going. God is the only one that knows everything about you, and I mean everything. But God has chosen you to be part of His family, which means He wants you to be in conversations with Him through prayer.
I just finished a 40 day prayer challenge and it was the third time I have done it this year. I believe that through our prayers we can change lives and change the world. We can move those mountains. Not on our own effort but by the power of our God. Tell those challenges in your life about our God. God will not only show up, but He shows off if we are brave enough to pray those big prayers. We are called to pray for each other. Our God designed mission is unique to each of us. We are all given gifts and talents to use. What is the mission that God has given you? No matter what, he wants to hear from you. Draw close because He has something to tell you. Open your ears to hear Him. Open your eyes to see Him. He is everywhere and He is communicating with you.
I ask that you pray for Rosevelot and Anna as God has given them important work to do for Him. We, their friends, family, supporters, need to be intercessors for them as they do the work God has called them to do. We can be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and financial support for them as they help reach people for Jesus and help change the nation of Haiti. I am calling on you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to pray.
Thank you! May God bless you!
