Vision Statement
At YWAM Port of Peace, we’ve narrowed down YWAM’s global vision to what we call Be That Make which describes our process for discipleship. Being is a state of identity and we are continually focused on growing our identity in Christ as His followers. This compels us to act. The closer we are to Jesus the harder it is to keep the fire within our bones and that is the second step of the process, Make. As we have become disciples, we are making disciples in others. “God has called all christians to engage in the Great Commission regardless of age and maturity, not just pastors and missionaries. The “Be” gives fuel and content to the “Make”.

YWAM as a whole global origzation holds the grander vision “Know God and Make God Known”. We too, want to live out this vision though, as you read above we have a vision uniqe to our campus as well.
Statement of Faith
We of YWAM Port of Peace believe and affirm:
That God, in His nature, is triune and yet one God. Existing eternally as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Coequal in glory, coequal in deity, and coequal in eternity;
That the incarnate Son (Jesus), being the second person of the Trinity, is fully man and fully God. That Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as the sacrifice for the sin of the world, was raised to life on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory;
That the Holy Spirit was sent to empower the Church to grow in Christ likeness and be His hands and feet in the world;
That the 66 canonical books of the Old and New Testaments (Scripture) is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative written word;
That people are created in God’s image, but chose rebellion and disobedience to God. This sin has placed all of humanity in a state of judgment and separation from our creator;
That God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a free gift to any that believe. That through Jesus’ sacrifice we can be justified before God and free of the judgment we were under;
That repentance, faith, love, and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace toward humanity;
That God is sanctifying all believers through the work of the Holy Spirit in us;
That God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This work requires believers to participate in, not merely observe, the Church (Body of Christ) and to engage in God’s redemptive work;
That Jesus will return in glory and with Him all of humanity will be judged to either eternal separation from or eternity with God.
